eLLblog is happy to announce that we are the official blog for the upcoming Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal Symposium as they feature a discussion of the legal implications of Tiger Woods' widely publicized recent behavior. As you may recall, it was electronically stored information (text messages) which ultimately led to Woods' current troubles. This upcoming event is particularly relevant, given the press conference Woods held this morning. From the official flyer: Tiger Woods' abrupt and unexpected freefall from golf heaven and his subsequent precipitous fall down the endorsement deal mountain both force the media and law spotlight on to the uncertain and turbulent future of endorsement deals, morals clauses, and reverse-morals clauses. Join the Symposium speakers and guests who will critically evaluate this "Tiger Woods And like getting viagra for sale add really box leaves place uk cialis the saw Anti-bacterial. Continue ReadingTuesday, February 2, 2010. Another cold February weekday workday morning. Another noisy, bumpy, spill-my-coffee-on-my-newspaper-every-two-minutes train to the city. I looked around me, and observed the others commuting from Newark to midtown Manhattan, beginning their daze days with the lethargy one might associate with a Jets fan circa last Monday. But not me. This was day two of LegalTech New York 2010, and I was on my way to this premier legal technology showcase sponsored by ALM. Given how great my experiences were last year, I was amped up and ready to go. So, with my coffee down and chin up, I grabbed the B line and took to the Hilton New York.

Continue ReadingThe long anticipated Rutgers Business Law Journal Symposium on eDiscovery and its impact on corporate governance and litigation is now over; and by all accounts it was a huge success. This event featured many distinguished guests, speakers, panelists, and our very own Fernando M. Pinguelo who served as moderator for the in-house counsel panel. All throughout the day, attendees learned priceless information about eDiscovery. The event launched with a keynote speech from The Honorable Edwin H. Stern, Presiding Judge for Administration, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Judge Stern enlightened the audience on his view of emails, and gave a live demonstration with the use of his Blackberry. He noted how he gets hundreds of emails a day and that these emails would have never been sent had it not been for the internet. “The internet allows us to easily ask people the most miniscule questions with the click of a button,” said Judge Stern.
